The International World Games Association (IWGA) has delegated the management of the anti-doping activities for the 11th edition of The World Games in Birmingham, Alabama, to the International Testing Agency (ITA). The ITA will lead an independent and comprehensive clean-sport programme for the multi-sport event in collaboration with the Birmingham Organising Committee.

IFA President Jörn Verleger, who is also chairman of the IWGA Anti-Doping Hearing Panel, welcomes the decision as IFA itself is working together with ITA in different anti-doping issues like TUE.
